The Thin Red Line

Created in Tangiers, Morocco, while working on the I’ll See You On The Other Side project. This work traces the journey some of the participants undertook to reach their current destination. The red thread symbolizes the uncertainty that continues to shape their lives, a fragile connection between past and future, known and unknown.

The title, The Thin Red Line, refers to the delicate threshold between survival and loss, hope and despair. It alludes to the historic phrase describing a small, exposed line holding its ground against overwhelming odds. Here reimagined as the path of migration itself: vulnerable, determined, and persistently human.
